I was SO honored when Mary Kate Murray asked me to share a recipe from Margarita Time to include in Robert Simonson’s weeklong celebration of agave spirits on his Substack, The Mix With Robert Simonson. She told me to pick one of my faves. But I couldn’t make up my mind so I shared two! There’s Foolish Pleasures, a Mai Tai x Margarita hybrid by Kevin Diedrich of SF’s Pacific Cocktail Haven, and Mano de Chango by Kim Stodel of LA’s Providence.

Funny enough, both bartenders won James Beard Awards just this week! Kevin won it for Outstanding Professional in Cocktail Service, and Kim won it with Providence for Outstanding Hospitality! I wonder where Kevin will put his award at PCH since he told me in this interview I did with him that he doesn’t like to put them behind the bar.
