Margarita Time x Gracias Madre

I wager that Margaritas are the food-friendliest cocktails out there. Anyone who has enjoyed a Marg with tacos knows this is fact. If you want to put this theory to the test and have fun doing it, check out the Margarita-paired dinner I’m doing with Gracias Madre on Sunday, October 19 from 5 to 7:30pm.

The vegan West Hollywood restaurant has lined up three meat-free dishes to go with Marg riffs I featured in my book. Think Licorería Limantour’s Al Pastor Margarita with a soyrizo taco plate and a coconut Margarita with a tres leches cake. The evening will kick off with Margaritas on the patio where singer/musician Ortal Edri, will perform and I sign copies of my book. Then will move to the dining room for a tequila masterclass with sponsor Tromba Tequila followed by dinner.

Most importantly, a portion of the proceeds will go to Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA). The nonprofit will be on hand as well to talk about the importance of their work, especially now. And Tromba will raffle off a bottle for the cause.

It’s going to be a blast. Drink Margaritas for a cause and enjoy a night out! See you there!
