So excited about my upcoming book parties. Next week I’ll be up in Northern California promoting my book with book parties at the Spirited Awards 2025 best U.S. cocktail bar Trick Dog and Imbibe 75 Place to Watch The Butterscotch Den. Both bars had generously shared their Margarita recipes with me to include in my book, Margarita Time, and now I get to celebrate its publication with them as well as the good people of SF and Sacto.

At Trick Dog on Monday, August 18, we’re doing a happy hour (4 to 6pm) sponsored by Tequila Ocho and Del Maguey. Tommy’s Julio Bermejo, the creator of modern classic Tommy’s Margarita, will be there as well to sign books, chat up, and maybe pop behind the bar to shake up some Margs. Three different Margaritas will be served: Baby Turtle, Tommy’s Margarita, and a mystery third. Buy a book from Omnivore Books, who will be set up at the party, to get it signed by the Trick Dog bar team, Julio, and me!

Later in the week on Wednesday, August 20 at The Butterscotch Den (4 to 8pm), you’ll get to grill up your own carne asada tacos while sipping on the most delicious strawberry Margarita sponsored by Real Del Valle Tequila and The Lost Explorer Mezcal. The bar will be selling copies of Margarita Time!
