Clueless & Bibo Ergo Sum Cocktails at ArcLight Hollywood

Quick, what’s your favorite L.A. movie and which cocktail would you pair with it? If it’s Amy Heckerling’s Clueless then you’re in luck!

On August 19, as part of its summer pop-up series, ArcLight Hollywood is hosting swank West Hollywood cocktail bar, Bibo Ergo Sum, in its Balcony Bar. And the talented bar crew crafted three original cocktails ($10 each) inspired by Cher and her romantic and, let’s face it, beautifully costumed misadventures in Beverly Hills.

Just saying the name of each drink conjures up your favorite Clueless scenes. By the way, I kinda wished they made a coffee cocktail as an ode to the romance between Mr. Hall and Mrs. Geist, who OMG was actually the same age in the movie as I am now.

There’s no costume contest or anything, but if there was a time to wear your cute yellow plaid outfit, this is it. You’d totally get a lot of props for it.

So this coming Monday, roll in with the homies at 6pm for drinks in the Balcony Bar, and then hit the theater! The show starts at 7pm. But no need to suck down your drinks as you can actually bring them in with you.

This series actually started last month with Die Hard and it ends with Beverly Hills Cop(!) on September 23.

UPDATE: Tickets are nearly sold out but there are still ample for the upcoming Beverly Hills Cop one next month. Can’t wait to see what cocktails the BES crew comes up for THAT one.
