Friday, November 9

Splendid/Ella Moss Bi-Annual Sample Sale
Shop for cute frocks and everyday staples from LA-based brands Splendid and Ella Moss at this bi-annual sample sale which will be restocked daily. This will include all labels like Splendid Girl and Ella Girl, Splendid Littles and Little Ella.

  • 9am-4pm. 11th floor at the Cooper Building, 860 S Los Angeles Street, Downtown (map).

Trina Turk Sample Sale
Another great designer sample sale, this one for Trina Turk. Shop for womenswear, menswear (Mr. Turk) and housewares (Residential). Prices start at $20.

Saturday, November 10

Wine Riot LA
DJ, photobooth, fake tattoos. Yup, this ain’t yo mama’s wine festival. The wine curious and hard-core oenophiles will be able to partake of 250 wines from around the world like Burgundy, South Africa and Portugal in a non-stuffy environment. Learn about wine at the crash course seminars and fill up on local fare from Madalyn’s Cupcakes and Crispy Waffle & Frite.

Sunday, November 11

Domaine LA’s Book Event With Chef Ludo and (Virtual) NY Times‘ Eric Asimov
Ludo’s famous fried chicken and a wine flight by NY Times‘ wine critic Eric Asimov? Yes please! Foodists and wine geeks will no doubt swarm this book event at wine shop Domaine LA. Chef Ludo will be signing copies of his cookbook while Eric Asimov may join the event via FaceTime. You can purchase autographed copies of his new How To Love Wine book (which I LOVE btw). Grab some eats from the Ludo Truck which will be parked outside and sip on Eric’s selection of wine ($12 for the flight) which include 2009 Nusserhoff “Elda”and 2010 Eric Texier Brezeme.
