Legalize Cachaca March on Sunset Boulevard
Join Zane Lamprey, host of drink-around-the-world show Three Sheets, and Leblon Cachaca in their march (ahem, barhop) to legalize the cachaca label in America. Here, the U.S. government categorizes cachaca as Brazilian rum when really it should have its own category. In any case, this is a fun excuse to drink as the march will start off at Asia de Cuba, continue on to Ketchup and then culminate at Red Rock. Sign the petition, enjoy Caipirinhas with fellow cocktailers at some Sunset Blvd. bars and march on.

  • Starts at 4:30pm. Asia de Cuba at Mondrian, 8440 W Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood (map). (323) 848-6000.

Saturday, September 19

Esotouric’s LA Noir Crime Tour
Noir fans will love this bus tour which combines the true history of noir Los Angeles with that of L.A.’s legendary rival between the city’s notorious gangster Mickey Cohen and controversial police chief William H. Parker. See the L.A. behind noir classics, Chinatown and The Big Sleep.

Cinespia’s Last Screening of the Season: Rosemary’s Baby
OK, if you haven’t been to a cemetery screening this season or at all, you have to go to this one. It’s the last one of the year AND it’s Rosemary’s Baby, Roman Polanski’s horror classic! You’ve got Satanic seniors, Mia Farrow and…what’s the deal with her baby? Spread out a blanket with some throw pillows and open up a bottle of wine with your chocolate mouse [sic]. A great way to get in the mood for Halloween.

  • Gates open at 6:30, show starts 8pm. $10. Hollywood Forever Cemetery, 6000 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles (map).
