I hope the weather improves in time for the weekend. All these fun to-dos! Most involve eating tons of food, though. Hm. BTW, Sunday is the 4th anniversary of my blog! So weird! I don’t have an official party planned for it, the blogger prom took it out of me, but thanks for reading this here blog. Mwah!

Polkadots & Moonbeams Summer Sale

Taste of Dtown Culinary Festival
Celebrate downtown L.A. the right way, by stuffing your face with the likes of Rock N’ Fish, Magnolia, Provecho, Takami Sushi & Robata Restaurant, Wokcano and more. This culinary festival in the historic Brunswick studio loft complex also celebrates the launch of dtownla.com and will feature beverages courtesy of Rain Organics vodka and Peroni Nastro Azzurro beer.

Candy Land Lolita Tea Party at Royal/T
This super kawaii tea party at Culver City’s maid cafe is sure to give you a toothache with all the Lolitas, the candy land-themed high tea set, cupcake and cotton candy stands and even a life-size Candy Land board game! Bar Lubitsch’s Vodka Tasting
Jared at Bar Lubitsch is hosting a special vodka tasting featuring ultra premium brands — Ocean, Crystal Head, Siku, Three Olives, Modern Spirits, Tru, Russian Standard, Pinky, Ultimat, Hanger One and Krol. Guests will get to try chilled shots and learn about the vodkas. There are actually different levels and flavors from each brand so it’ll be almost 20 vodkas to savor! Don’t forget your designated driver! No reservations required.

2009 Plate by Plate Annual Tasting Benefit
This special tasting event at the California Science Center sounds fan-cy! Guests will get to enjoy tastings from BottleRock downtown, XIV, Cicada, Katsuya and the Fig. Scoops, Layers Cupcakes and Xooro will even be there to satisfy your sweet tooth! And of  course there will be booze from the likes of the Bruery, Stone Brewing Company, Cass Winery and Courvoisier. This event will benefit Project by Project’s Asian Pacific Islander Small Business Program that aids low-income immigrants.

Wally’s 6th Annual Central Coast Wine and Food Celebration
Man, this weekend and all these food events! This one at Wally’s Wine and Spirits in Westwood not only offers tastings from over 60 Central Coast wineries but food from Osteria Mozza and Pizzeria Mozza, Comme Ca, The Hungry Cat, Susan Feniger’s Street and Lucques/AOC/Tavern. And Frank Ostini from the Hitching Post will even demonstrate his grilling skills on his traveling Santa Maria BBQ pit! This event benefits the Michael Bonaccorsi Scholarship Fund at UC Davis.
