Osteria Mozza's First Educational Wine Dinner

My favorite dinner place, Osteria Mozza, is doing its first educational wine dinner next month and they only have 20 spots available around their communal table. This first of many “fun and relaxed” wine dinners will focus on the wines of Piedmont, “one of the world’s most inspiring regions.”

The wine list consists of “everyday” wines as well as the duo of the just released 2004 Barolo and Barbaresco and will be accompanied by eats custom built by Chef Matt Molina.

  • Duck Liver Crostini with Guanciale

  • 2007 Roero Arneis, Correggia

  • Agnolotti, burro e salvia

  • 2007 Dolcetto d’Alba, Massolino

  • Beef Brasato with polenta & horseradish gremolata

  • 2005 Barbera d’Alba “Vigna del Cucolo,” Cavallotto

  • Robiola with fig cake & salted walnuts

  • 2004 Barbaresco “Sorì Paitin,” Paitin

  • 2004 Barolo “Villero,” Oddero

  • Cannoli di Ricotta

  • 2007 Brachetto “Bigarò,” Elio Perrone

The dinner is $75 a person and a credit card will be required for your reservation. Call the reservation line (323) 866-5300 or email Wine Director Alex Weil at aweil [at] mozza-la.com.
