This Weekend: Run, Hike, Drink, Kiss

— by Caroline on Crack

Why is everyone having their holiday party this weekend? Now I don’t have time to do the following fun stuff.

Friday, December 12

Thrillist Red Line Barhop
Tis the season to get drunk. Thrillist was good enough to celebrate the new late weekend hours of the Red Line with its list of bars near each stop, from Union Station to North Hollywood. And this Friday, they’ll put that list to the test with a Red Line barhop, but end at the Pig ‘N Whistle in Hollywood. Each bar stop will probably last for an hour. No fee to participate, just bring money for drinks, your Metro pass and your will to drink! Camaraderie is free.

  • 7:30pm-3am. Starting at Traxx in Union Station, 800 N Alameda Street, Los Angeles (map).(213) 625-2999?.

Full Moon Hike
Enjoy the full moon with a nighttime hike through Franklin Canyon. You’ll get to see and hear wildlife and enjoy the view of the stars and the city. It’s a moderately strenuous hike and lasts for two hours so prepare accordingly — dress warmly and bring water. Meet at the Franklin Canyon Ranch Site lower parking lot near restrooms in Franklin Canyon Park.

  • 7pm. Franklin Canyon Park, 2600 Franklin Canyon Drive, Beverly Hills (map).

LF Warehouse Holiday Sale
I was only able to hit the tail end of the LF warehouse sale last time and vowed to get their earlier this time so that I wouldn’t miss out on any of the goodies like I did before. Early bird gets the good stuff and with 70-85% off women’s designer sweaters, jackets, coats, jeans, and accessories you need to get there toute de suite! Cash and credit card only.

It’s standing room only unless you purchase a VIP ticket for an unassigned seat.
