With the holidays just around the corner, it’s understandable if you’re starting to feel a little stressed. The best way to fall in love with this time of year all over again? Join the “Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice” holiday pastry and cocktail class at Viceroy’s Whist in Santa Monica.

Resident pastry chef Brooke Mosely will be sharing her trade secrets on how to prepare some festive yummies and libations to enjoy around the fireplace after your hearty holiday meal. Your guests will nibble on truffles and chocolate-dipped praline candies whilst sipping caramel apple cocktails. The perfect sugary sedative for high-strung family members. Or learn how to make a cinnamon-pomegranate sangria to serve alongside your Christmas ham. And don’t worry, she’ll teach you how to make your own egg nog. No more canned Christmas cheer for you, baby!

The cost is $65 a person and includes the welcome champagne reception, class materials and valet parking. And of course you’ll be given take-home recipe cards so you can recreate the magic on your own.

BTW, if you can’t make this class, there’s always the special Valentine’s Day Aphrodisiac cooking class on February 3, 2009.

EVENT: WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 19 from 6 to 8:30pm
