The Dark Knight Descends on ArcLight Cinemas

— by Caroline on Crack

I’m so happy happy happy! Since I’m an insomniac, I was able to snatch up tickets for the 9:30pm advanced screening of The Dark Knight at the ArcLight next Thursday. Tickets went on sale late last night and promptly sold out.

But not to worry, my fellow Batman fiends, there are still tickets available for midnight screenings on Thursday, namely my favorite 21+ screenings where you can bring cocktails into the theater: 12:05am in Hollywood and 12:21am in Sherman Oaks.

The Cinerama Dome in Hollywood will feature 24 hours of The Dark Knight, starting with the midnight screenings on the 17th. So you can hit the bars in Hollywood and then check out a 3:30am show at the Dome. Sweet! Or have Batman before breakfast at The Waffle at 6:50am. And if you’re one of the first people in the theater, you’ll get limited edition The Dark Knight “gear.”

On Friday the 18th, show-goers will be able to see Christian Bale’s Batman and Heath Ledger’s Joker costumes at the costume exhibit. While on Saturday the 19th, Batman’s motorcycle, the Bat-Pod will show up to drool over.

Word on the street is that this is the best Batman movie yet. That Heath Ledger’s performance is awesome, even Oscar inspiring. That this movie may threaten Spider-Man‘s record for the highest three-day launch. I’m just happy that that Katie Holmes isn’t in it.
