Gosh, how I LOVE summer. All the fun things you can do only when it’s warm out, as this weekend looks like it’s going to be. Mmm, 80-degree weather. Unfortunately/fortunately I’ll be up in NorCal for some river rafting this weekend but you folks have fun!

Free Hot Dogs at Hot Dog on a Stick
Gotta love the freebies. Hot Dog on a Stick, the funny hat folks, will be giving out free hot dogs on a stick from 5 to 8pm at any of their locations. One per person but that’s probably all you need.

Saturday, June 14
Heal the Bay L.A. River Cleanup and Korean BBQ
If you missed your chance to be a good environmental citizen during Earth Month, you’ll get your chance now. Help tidy up the soft-bottomed Glendale Narrows section of the Los Angeles River along with Heal the Bay, several other organizations and about 2,000 other volunteers. No cleaning experience necessary. Just bring a hat, drinking water and some sunscreen. Afterward all volunteers will be treated to a Korean barbecue. Mmm, galbi and a good deed.
