Wow, I forget when was the last time I saw a movie at the Sherman Oaks Galleria 16. I know it was last year or maybe the year before but which movie? Hmm. Perhaps now that the theater has been transformed into the ArcLight Sherman Oaks I won’t have that problem anymore.

The newly refurbished super cinema complex will feature all the amenities of the ArcLight Hollywood — 16 black-box auditoriums with reserved seating and extra-wide chairs, a café bar, gift shop, exhibits, 21+ screenings and a commercial-free in-theater experience.

From Curbed LA:

…a staffer there freely explained it’ll be almost the same as ArcLight Hollywood, except the bar will overlook the 405 instead of 24 Hour Fitness.

With the theater opening this weekend you can purchase tickets for movies debuting this Friday — Beowulf and No Country for Old Men — tomorrow. There will also be tickets available for Saturday’s Q&A with Todd Haynes, director of Velvet Goldmine and I’m Not There.

TICKETS ON SALE: THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15
