Learn About Wine has regular Taste events at the awesomely huge 140,000-square-foot H.D. Buttercup store in Culver City but the OktoberTaste: Magical Bubbles and Brews shindig for tomorrow night sounds like it’s going to be, well, magical.
Not only will there be performing Magic Castle magicians but you’ve got a lot of different kinds of wine to choose from like prosecco, Cava, Moscati d’Asti, champagne and about 20 different microbrews as well. You’ll be feeling light-headed in no time.
Just some of the sparkly spirits that will make an appearance:

- Moet & Chandon Nectar Imperial Demi Sec NV Champagne
- Piper Heidseick Brut NV CA Sparkling Wine
- Fat Tire Amber Ale

If you get hungry and need something to fortify your stomach from the libations, you can partake of a gourmet taco station, a Hama Hama Oyster Co. oyster bar, artisanal cheese station and Choctal ice cream.
Frankly I’m surprised this event isn’t sold out yet. Maybe it’s because the ticket price has been upped by $10. (Now it’s $60 for advanced purchase and $75 general admission.) Sure, you get a Riedel tasting glass to take home, but still.
