24 Season Premiere Screening Party Ideas

— by Caroline on Crack

Woo hoo! Tomorrow night is the 2-hour season premiere of 24! The country is in peril and only one man can save us…again. Jack is back after his unceremonious departure in Season 5 when he was abducted and thrown on a slow boat to China. And we, 24 fans, had to wait seven long months for this day. So celebrate we must and what better way than by having a 24 season premiere viewing party?

From CalendarLive:

As ever, Bauer is one part psychosis, one part propaganda — a man driven completely by force of will and yet willing to sacrifice himself in the name of the greater good of the nation. If only all patriotism were this easy.

I scoured the Web in search of what other 24 fans are doing for their parties but couldn’t find a thing. What’s up with that? Anyhow, here’s how I intend to pass the next two nights.

  1. Since Jack Bauer was imprisoned in a Chinese jail for two years, for libations, stock up on Chinese beer.

  2. Make sure you also have plenty of hard liquor on hand to play this drinking game during the show. Remember to add that you have to drink a shot for every split screen.

  1. And to keep in theme with #1, order Chinese takeout. Or you can just get some egg rolls, won tons and gyozas from Trader Joe’s, party food central.

  2. My friend dotsara suggested cupcakes with the digital clock readout on the icing. Why cupcakes? Cuz they go with every type of celebration.

  3. Project a digital clock readout onto the wall. The one I have is a cool blue one that came with my alarm clock. Heh.

If you’re doing your own 24 party and have some cool ideas you’d like to share, feel free to post them in the comments.
