Remember trip hop? So 15 years ago. Actually when I heard that Massive Attack was doing a show at the Bowl for their first time, I was really excited. I loved Mezzanine. I love the Bowl. But then my bro, whose musical taste I highly respect, said that they’re not as good as they used to be and their new album isn’t all that.

Bummer. But for those who care, this will be MA’s first L.A. appearance in eight years and their last West Coast appearance before returning back East for the last leg of their tour.

All the higher-priced seats (box seats through bench N) are already sold out but that never bothered me since the acoustics in the Bowl are awesome and bringing a good bottle of wine with great company helps the nose-bleeds not hurt as much.

“Experimental art-rock quartet” Gang Gang Dance and “experimental avant-rock group” TV on the Radio will also be performing.
