Living in L.A. Angelenos are used to walking into places previously immortalized in film but Netflix is taking it one step further by throwing a Rolling Roadshow of famous movie spots. They show screenings of movies in the locations where the movies were shot. Their Jaws screening will be held in Martha’s Vineyard, scene of the most infamous shark attacks; Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in Northbrook, Illinois; The Shining in Estes Park, Colorado; and Escape from Alcatraz in San Francisco’s famous prison island, among many others.

In L.A. a lucky few will get to screen that 1970s classic, The Poseidon Adventure aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach where the famous disaster movie was originally filmed. Specifically, the movie will be shown in the art deco ballroom, the setting of the Poseidon’s New Year’s party-ending breach.

After the screening, guests will be taken on a tour of the ship which highlights the filming locations of the movie.

Unfortunately, this event isn’t open to the general public so diehard fans will have to click here to try and win tickets.
