I’ve read about all these new ways to get singles together: sanctioned wine tastings, happy hours, movie nights, evenings at the opera…but never while getting a makeover.
Cristophe Salon along with Redlight Promotions is kicking off a monthly night of beauty and networking where “young trendsetters, club-goers, and young professional entertainment types, as well, as media and celebrities” will enjoy getting makeovers and consultations in a party atmosphere.
The Beauty Mix is obviously open to both men and women. I’m just skeptical as to the sort of man it’ll draw out. Will he be vain? Really into his looks? Um, h’yeah. I’m imagining a Jonathan Antin type. And I’m also skeptical about meeting guys while my hair is up in foils. I certainly don’t feel pretty until AFTER I step out of the salon. But maybe all the beautiful people who are expected to attend won’t feel that way.
The event is complimentary with an RSVP, and all the salon services (i.e. cut, blowdry, tanning, pedicure, etc.) will be offered with a 50% discount, which is good considering this is a celebrity stylist’s salon in Beverly Hills. And who can resist the open bar, gift bags with Cristophe hair products and a $50 gift certificate, the catered hors d’oeuvres as well as the dj and dancing?
