Happy Earth Day 2009, earthlings! Chances are that you have many community-service activities planned today. But what about afterward when you’re feeling all warm and fuzzy from your good deeds? Wanna keep that mellow going? Check out the following for eco-friendly yummies.

At the Edison downtown, for every Tru2 Gin drink purchased, a tree will be planted. Cocktail hour starts at 5pm but at 8:30pm Vaud & The Villains will be performing (no cover).

You can also enjoy Tru Organics cocktails and plant trees for every Tru drink purchased at Akasha, Ciudad and the Hungry Cat to name a few.

Whiskey Blue at the W in Westwood will feature its own “green” cocktail called VeeV-a-la Green (aka Amazon Cooler) where 50 cents from every cocktail purchased will go to Global Green USA.

LA Green Drinks’ celebration at L.A.’s first eco-friendly gallery, Pharmaka Gallery, has organic cocktails, nosh from Ciudad, Coconut Bliss ice cream samples and a community art canvas. 7-10pm. Cover is only $5.

City Sip LA will be having an organic wine and beer tasting. Organic Argentinian wine — Malbec and Torrontes — in eco-friendly packaging no less will be showcased; $5 a glass, $12 retail.

Sprinkles is celebrating Earth Day with a special vanilla cupcake (Madagascar bourbon vanilla cake with vanilla frosting) where 100% of the proceeds from its sales will go to TreePeople.
