So many holiday parties to go to and so little time to bake. Fortunately we’ve got cupcake stores to save us. Most have the standard peppermint or gingerbread flavored cute cakes while others have their own holiday take on the cake.

Sprinkles is offering seasonal dozen JOY boxes ($36 or $3.25 per cupcake) filled with the following selection:

  • Chocolate Peppermint: Belgian dark chocolate cake with bittersweet chocolate-peppermint frosting and topped with crushed peppermint candies
  • Eggnog Spice: Spice cake with eggnog cream cheese frosting
  • Vanilla-Peppermint: Madagascar bourbon vanilla cake with vanilla-peppermint frosting and topped with crushed peppermint candies

Susie Cakes not only has spiced gingerbread cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and chocolate peppermint ones with candy cane topping ($3 each) but gingerbread men, a traditional rolled Yule log cake and egg nog cheesecake with sour cream topping that you can bring to that holiday party. OR if you want to go all out, there’s a decorated gingerbread house that you can get personalized with a family name.

Vanilla Bake Shop has Gingerbread Spice and Chocolate Peppermint cupcakes and cupcake babies. For the party, grab a box of 2 dozen babies for $44 or 1 dozen cupcakes for $44 (24-hour notice required). You can have them dressed up in festive decor, just request it.

Yummy Cupcakes has lots to choose from this season: holiday spice, egg nog, peppermint patty, candy cane, cranberry vanilla, pumpkin pie and hot chocolate. Just check the December menu to find which days have what. Also I noticed they have some wine-inspired flavors available this month, like the interesting-sounding lemon pinot grigio and chocolate merlot, and even a festive champagne cream and spiked egg nog. Fun!
